This notice covers visits to this studio website and communications with zFar Games, including support enquiries about our Unity assets.

2. Website hosting and server logs

For the STRATO-hosted website, our hosting provider is STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. STRATO provides webspace, delivery of page content and technical measures to keep the service available and secure.

When a page is requested, the server processes the visitor’s IP address, request time, requested resource, response status, transferred data volume, browser information and, where supplied, the referring page. This enables content delivery, fault diagnosis, security monitoring and server-based usage statistics. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interests in a reliable and secure website.

STRATO states that visitor IP addresses used to detect and prevent attacks are stored for up to seven days. Customer-accessible access logs contain IP addresses and hostnames that STRATO describes as anonymised and are available for six weeks. Graphical usage statistics may be available for several years. These periods apply to the stated data categories, not to every technical record. See STRATO’s data-processing information and log and statistics documentation.

3. Email enquiries and asset support

Support is provided by email. When you contact us, we process your reply address, name if supplied, message and attachments. An asset-support enquiry may include an asset name, Unity version and description of the problem. We use these details to respond and provide the requested support.

Our email provider is STRATO GmbH at the address above. STRATO Mail handles message delivery, mailbox storage and technical spam/security filtering. Mail operation can also require technical delivery and security records; these are separate from website visitor logs and from the correspondence we retain.

For enquiries relating to a contract or steps requested before a contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies; our legitimate interest is to respond to messages and resolve issues.

Retention: our policy is to delete routine enquiries within 90 days after they have been resolved. We retain relevant correspondence longer where necessary for continuing contractual support, statutory record-keeping or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Legally required retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; retention for legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data retained for these purposes are deleted once the applicable requirement or need ends.

After permanent deletion from a STRATO mailbox, STRATO provides a recovery window of up to 30 days. Messages left in the trash are not yet permanently deleted. This recovery period is separate from our retention policy and from technical mail logs. See STRATO’s recovery information.

Providing information is voluntary, but we need a reply address and sufficient details to handle an enquiry. Please do not send passwords or other login credentials.

4. Recipients and processing locations

STRATO provides the hosting and mailbox infrastructure. It describes standard webhosting and STRATO Mail storage as located in Germany. Service providers used by STRATO may support infrastructure operation, security, mail filtering and webmail. The applicable services and subprocessors are described in STRATO’s data processing agreement.

The agreement provides for processing in the EU/EEA, with necessary third-country transfers subject to the requirements of Articles 44–49 GDPR. For relevant third-country subprocessors, the provider’s list identifies the applicable safeguards, including EU standard contractual clauses. Information about safeguards relevant to your data can be requested using our contact email above. German mailbox storage does not mean that a sender’s or recipient’s own email provider operates only in Germany.

5. Cookies and website features

The studio pages do not set cookies or use browser local storage. They contain no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, contact forms or visitor accounts. Fonts and images are served with the website rather than embedded from external font, video or social-media services. Server logging described above is separate from browser tracking.

The email button reveals our address locally in your browser. It does not send a message or contact an additional service. The Unity Asset Store button is currently inactive and does not open or contact Unity.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you can request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR). You can use the email address above to make a request.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Right to object

Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will stop that processing unless we can demonstrate overriding compelling legitimate grounds or the processing is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may object to direct marketing at any time without giving a reason.

You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement (Article 77 GDPR).

For our own purposes described here, we do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
